There will be a quiz in class on Thursday based on the readings entitled Origins of the RCMP and the website Northwest Mounted Police: A Tradition in Scarlet.  If you prepare a set of study notes you may use them during the quiz.  The Chapter 5 Test is scheduled for Monday May 13.  Bonus marks will be assigned to students who prepare a set of study notes.  These notes are to be brought to class but may not be used during the test.  The Essay Questions for the Chapter 5 Test can be found by clicking here. and the essay outline form is available by clicking here.  In order write the essay during the test you must bring a completed outline to class. Have a little fun and view an episode of Sergeant Prestion of the Yukon - The Lost Patrol or get real adventurous and view Cecil B. de Mille's production of The North West Mounted Police starring Gary Cooper.

Visit the Citizenship and Immigration Canada Website and download the Discover Canada app for either iPhone, Android or Blackberry.  You may bookmark the site online if you do not have access to the app.  Work your way through the study guide to Canadian citizenship.

Chapter 5 Test is scheduled for Monday.  All Chapter 5 Activity Packages should be turned in.  The Interactive Quiz for Chapter 5 needs to be completed.  The Legal Problems for the Chapter 5 Test must be completed and turned in before you write the test.  Finally if you prepare a set of study notes for Chapter 5 you will receive a bonus mark added to your final test score.
